Tube houses are a unique architectural type of dwelling common in Hanoi, Vietnam. These lofted, colorful houses are typically about two meters wide. For this project, we analyzed the tube house typology focusing on a specific tubehouse in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. We delve into the tube house’s dimensions and shape through a set of orthographic line drawings. After completing the first step, we did a color study on the drawings using music as our main inspiration. From Spotify’s yearly rewind, to specific artist’s albums, we generated a set of color palettes which we used for our final compositions.
